Leaf-blades obovate or sometimes elliptic or oblong, 1.2–6.7 cm. long, 0.7–4.2 cm. wide, rounded or truncate to emarginate at the apex, narrowly cuneate or decurrent at the base, not at all coriaceous, the venation not very conspicuous but densely reticulate beneath; no lines present beneath; petiole (0.2–)0.5–1.2 cm. long, slender, grooved; stipules completely united, broadly triangular, 1.5–3 mm. long, obtuse, 2-keeled, ± persistent.. Flowers solitary or in fascicles of 2–5 in the leaf-axils; pedicels 4–8 mm. long, slender and angular.. Sepals ovate-triangular, ± 1 mm. long, acute, obtuse or apiculate, united for 1/2–2/3 of their length.. Petals white or yellowish white, oblong, 4 mm. long, rounded and ± shallowly crenulate at the apex, shortly clawed; ligule 1–1.5 mm. long, inserted 0.6–1 mm. above the base, shortly fimbriate.. Stamens equal, the cup longer than the sepals but shorter than the ovary, with a slightly undulate margin.. Stamens ± 5 mm. long in short-styled flowers and styles ± 1 mm., united for just over 1/2 their length.. In long-styled flowers the stamens are 2 mm. long and the styles 2.5–3 mm. long, united for ± 3/4 their length.. Fruit cylindrical or 3-angled when dry, 9 mm. long.
