Leaves petiolate; lamina 1·8–6·7 × 1·3–4·2 cm., obovate or more rarely elliptic or oblong, rounded or truncate to emarginate at the apex, narrowly cuneate or decurrent at the base, subchartaceous, pale green, paler below, with nerves usually slightly prominent above and loosely to rather densely reticulate venation visible below; petiole 5–10 (12) mm. long, slender, grooved above; stipules completely united, 1·5–3 mm. long, broadly triangular, obtuse, bicarinate, with entire margin, persistent.
Petals white or yellowish-white, c. 4 mm. long, oblong, rounded and ± shallowly crenulate at the apex, shortly unguiculate; ligule 1–1·5 mm. long, shortly fimbriate, inserted 1/6–1/4 of the length above the base.
Shrub or small tree 3–7·5 (9) m. high, glabrous; branches slender, somewhat flattened and with raised lines decurrent from the petiole-bases when young, eventually terete; bark smooth, grey.
Short-styled flowers: stamens c. 5 mm. long; ovary c. 1·5 mm. long, cylindric; styles c. 1 mm. long, united for c. 3/5 of their length.
Long-styled flowers: stamens c. 2 mm. long; ovary as above; styles 2·5–3 mm. long, united for c. 5/6 of their length.
Stamens equal; stamen-cup longer than the sepals but shorter than the ovary, with a slightly undulate margin.
Sepals c. 1 mm. long, ovate-triangular, acute to obtuse or apiculate, united for 1/2–2/3 of their length.
Flowers solitary or in fascicles of 2–5 in the leaf-axils; pedicels 4–8 mm. long, slender, angular.
Drupe 9 mm. long, cylindric or 3-gonal when dry.
