Tree, 15-18 m high, lithophytic or a strangler. Leaves held stiffly, leathery, elliptic to ovate, 65-110 x 37-68 mm, olive-green above, paler below, glabrous throughout, apex shortly acuminate to acute, base rounded to broadly cuneate, margins ± flat, basal pair of veins forming a ‘V’; petioles 15-65 mm. Syconia (figs) 1-3, borne on appressed spurs 10-40 mm long, set on older branches and stems, receptacle ellipsoid to obovoid, 35-45 x 30-35 mm, glabrous to subglabrous, yellowish green with slightly raised whitish dots, ostiole faintly raised, stalk 13-25 mm long.
