Cultivation

Good quality, large, yellowish-green fruit with pink to light red flesh. Origin: Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, by E.N. O’Rourke. Celeste × L55-13-39; crossed 1959; selected 1961; tested as L59-46-63; released 2004. Tree: vigorous; growth habit upright; foliage cover sparse; leaves palmate with 5 distinct lobes. Fruit: large, diameter 37.5-50 mm, 45 g; eye partially open; quality good, 12.2 °Brix; yellowish-green with light red to pink flesh; ripens over a 15-day period beginning the last week of June in Baton Rouge.
