Tree up to 10 m. tall or a shrub, hemi-epiphytic.. Leafy twigs 2.5–5 mm. thick, puberulous to hirtellous, periderm not flaking off.. Leaves in spirals; lamina coriaceous, oblong to lanceolate or subobovate, 12–25 × 4–7(–11) cm., apex acuminate, base acute to rounded, margin entire; both surfaces glabrous; lateral veins 6–8 pairs, tertiary venation reticulate; petiole 1–2.5(–5) cm. long, 2–4 mm. thick, epiderm flaking off when dry; stipules 1.5–3 cm. long, partly connate, sparsely puberulous, ± persistent.. Figs 1–2 in the leaf axils, subsessile or on peduncles up to 0.4 cm. long; basal bracts 2–3.5 mm. long, persistent..
