Characteristics

Tree up to 2  tall. Branchlets 8-12 mm thick, glabrous. Stipules 1-3 cm long, minutely puberulous, caducous; petiole 0.5-1.5 cm long, (2-)3-4 mm thick, glabrous; blade (thickly) coriaceous, obovate, somtimes elliptic to narrowly elliptic, 12-21.5 x 7-10 cm, apex acuminate to rounded, base acute, margin entire, revolute, glabrous above, minutely puberulous with brown appressed hairs beneath; secondary veins 8-11 pairs. Figs in pairs in the leaf axils, (sub)globose, ca. 1.5 cm in diam., puberulous, at maturity brownish-red, sessile; basal bracts 2, ca. 4 mm long; ostiole ca. 3 mm in diam., plane.
