Characteristics

Leaves with petiole 7–20 mm long; lamina obovate-oblong, oblanceolate or elliptic, 40–125 mm long, 16–60 mm wide, cuneate to acute at base, obtuse or apiculate, dark glossy green above, paler and conspicuously reticulate-veined beneath. Flowers to 5 mm long, to 15 mm diam. Sepals ovate, c. 1.5 mm long, c. 2 mm wide. Corolla lobes c. 7 mm long, c. 5 mm wide, yellow-brown to green, glabrous on lower surface, with proximal 4 mm of upper surface covered in dense hairs. Staminal corona lobes linear-subulate, c. 3.5 mm long. Follicles 5–8 cm long.
