Characteristics

Ascending, perennial herb to 40 cm tall, glabrous, ±glaucous. Basal leaves oblanceolate, tapering basally, entire to dentate; lamina 10-50 mm long, to 15 mm wide. Cauline leaves stem-clasping, ovate-elliptic, smaller. Raceme to 20 cm long; bracts leaf-like, smaller; peduncles 10-20 mm long; bracteoles lanceolate to linear, 3-7 mm long; pedicel 5-12 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, c. 4 mm long. Corolla 14-18 mm long, with scattered hairs inside, enations ±obsolete, auriculate; abaxial lobes 10-11 mm long; wings 2-2.5 mm wide. Indusium broadly oblong, 1.5 mm long. Ovules to 25. Fruit sub-globular, c. 3 mm diam.; valves entire. Seed elliptic, 1.8 mm long, yellow-brown, colliculate.
