Characteristics

Erect, perennial herb to 50 cm tall, glandular pubescent or glabrescent. Leaves mostly basal from stock, oblanceolate, tapering basally, ±dentate, thick; lamina 3-8 cm long, 3-9 mm wide. Inflorescence a few-flowered raceme to 20 cm long; bracts linear, 3-9 mm long; peduncles 4-8 cm long; bracteoles triangular, 3-4 mm long, pedicels 3-6 mm long, articulate. Sepals lanceolate, 4-7 mm long. Corolla c. 20 mm long, with few hairs inside, with enations, auriculate; abaxial lobes 8-10 mm long; wings c. 2 mm wide. Ovules 15-20; indusium broadly elliptic. Fruit and seeds unknown.
