Characteristics

Decumbent herb, with mostly glandular hairs; stems stoloniferous, to 15 cm long. Leaves clustered near base of scapes, oblanceolate, dentate; lamina 3-6 cm long, 4-8 mm wide. Flowers in racemes to 8 cm long, or subumbels; scape often zig-zag; bracts leaf-like; pedicel 8-15 mm long, indistinctly articulate; bracteoles absent. Sepals narrowly oblong, 4-5 mm long. Corolla 15-16 mm long, ±glabrous inside, without enations, auriculate; abaxial lobes 8-9 mm long; wings c. 2 mm wide. Indusium and style bifid; each half-indusium oblong, 1.5 mm long. Ovules c. 20. Fruit globular, c. 6 mm diam. Seeds orbicular, c. 2 mm diam., black, reticulate; wing 0.1 mm wide, brownish.
