Characteristics

Erect to spreading, shrubby perennial to 30 cm high, glabrous. Basal leaves not seen; cauline leaves oblong to linear, entire, thick, with lamina to 4 cm long, to 3 mm wide. Flowers in thyrses to c. 20 cm long; bracts smaller than cauline leaves; peduncle similar to pedicel, shorter; bracteoles linear, to 10 mm long, c. 0.5 mm wide; pedicel 15-30 mm long, arcuate, articulate. Sepals elliptic-lanceolate, 2 mm long. Corolla 10-12 mm long, densely bearded inside, without enations, auriculate; abaxial lobes c. 6 mm long; wings to 1.5 mm wide. Indusium depressed-obovate, 1 mm long. Ovules to 50. Fruit and seeds unknown.
