Characteristics

Erect to ascending herb to 30 cm tall, viscid or varnished, with appressed, peltate hairs. Basal leaves linear, entire, thick; lamina 2-4 cm long, c. 2 mm wide. Raceme to 20 cm long; bracts leaf-like, smaller; peduncles 5-9 mm long; bracteoles linear, 1-1.2 mm long; pedicel 4-5 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, 1-1.5 mm long. Corolla 8-12 mm long, almost glabrous inside, with enations, indistinctly auriculate; abaxial lobes 4-5 mm long; wings c. 1 mm wide. Indusium oblong, 1.5 mm long; lower lip almost glabrous. Ovules c. 20. Fruit ovoid-oblong, 5-6 mm long; valves entire. Seeds orbicular, c. 3 mm diam., brown.
