Characteristics

Stems with dense indumentum restricted to 2 longitudinal bands. Leaves with petiole to 3.5 mm long; lamina lanceolate-ovate to ovate, to 15 cm long, 10 cm wide, cordate to rounded at base, acuminate, grey-green adaxially, pale bluish grey abaxially; secondary veins 5 or 6 each side of midrib, pale cream and raised abaxially; colleters 6. Flowers 3–4 mm long, 15–16 mm diam.; pedicels c. 6 mm long. Corolla pale yellow to cream; tube papillose to smooth externally, 3–4 mm long, 15–16 mm diam.; lobes c. 1 mm long, acute, recurved, papillose. Follicles to 8 cm long, 2.5–3 cm wide, ribbed along suture.
