Characteristics

Annual herb 30–45 cm tall, with taproot. Stems smooth, pilose, glabrescent. Leaves alternate, lowermost sometimes subopposite, ovate, with 10–15 prominent blunt teeth, pilose; lamina 45–60 mm long; petiole to 20 mm long. Inflorescence of 3–7-flowered dichasia; bracts linear, 3–6.5 mm long, entire or serrate, green; bracteoles membranous, linear, 0.6–0.7 mm long, brown. Flowers 4-merous; pedicel 0.2–0.5 mm long. Sepals deltoid, 0.6–1 mm long. Petals 2–2.6 mm long, yellow-green. Stamens 8. Ovary 4-locular, weakly 4-angled, densely pilose; styles 4. Fruit 4-winged or-ribbed.
