Robustum glabrum, in praecipitis dependens; rami vix ad 40 cm longi, ad 6 mm diam., cuticula saturate brunnea; folia fere erecta vel patenti-erecta, supra plana, dorso rotundata, lateraliter leviter compressa acutaque, levia, pallide glauca vel pallide viridia, saepe levissime translucentia (modo M. gracilipedis et M. dependentis), saepius ad 1.7 cm longa, prope medium 2 mm lata diametroque, vagina vix ad 1 mm; flores 1-3-nati, diurni; pedunculi teretes, apice constricti, saepius 1-2.5 cm longi, omnes medio bracteati; receptaculum globose turbinatum, 5 mm longum, ad 7 mm diam.; sepala 5, acuta, 7-9 mm longa, marginibus 3 latis brunneis; petala 5-seriata, saepius obtusa, inferne leviter agustata, alba, ad 2.3 cm longa, ad 2 mm lata; staminodia erecta petaloidea alba, in petala gradatim transeuntia, stamina superantia; stamina erecta, mox subdiffusa, filamentis omnibus basi dense papillatis albis, ad 4 mm longis, antheris stramineis; discus crebre crenulatus; ovarium e disco gradatim fere per 1 mm elevatum, inconspicue 5-lobatum, lobis dorso complanatis; stigmata subulata, caudate acuminata, 3.5 mm longa.
