Characteristics

Prostrate, trailing, succulent shrub, rooting at nodes, with flowering branchlets erect, up to 55 mm tall. Leaves shortly fused to opposite ones towards bases, spreading to erect, trigonous, (11-)16-21 x 2-3 mm, 2-3 mm thick, glaucous, smooth. Flowers solitary, 40-50 mm diam., golden yellow, without filamentous staminodes. Fruit 5-locular, base funnel-shaped, grey, keels diverging.
