Characteristics

Succulent shrub, up to 700 mm tall, stems pale grey-brown. Leaves trigonous, up to 35 mm long. Flowers 3-5, up to 40 mm diam., magenta, more rarely white or pink, without filamentous staminodes. Fruit 5-locular, base funnel-shaped, keels diverging.
