Distinguishing characters for this species are as follows: Leaf blade obovate, obovate-spatulate, or elliptic to broadly ovate, 1-2.5 × 0.7-1.8 cm, abaxially often pruinose, puberulent and glandular dotted, base cuneate to broadly cuneate, apex retuse, truncate or sometimes obtuse. Corolla white with reddish base, later yellow. Ovaries completely fused or sometimes free in upper part. Fl. May-Jun, fr. Sep-Oct.
