Inflorescence 5–25 cm high, branched, with 3–9 dense heads of numerous flowers subtended by several leaf-like bracts. Perianth 4 mm long, long-acuminate, dark brown or pale margined. Stamens 6; filaments 1.5 mm long; anthers 0.5 mm long. Ovary 2 mm long; styles 3, filiform, 2 mm long.
