Characteristics

Erect perennial herb to 30 cm high, with dense, white indumentum. Leaves with petiole 5–8 mm long; lamina lanceolate, to 5 cm long, to 2.5 cm wide, lobate at base, mucronulate; secondary veins obscure; colleters 4–6. Flowers c. 18 mm long, c. 22 mm diam.; pedicels 8–10 mm long. Corolla salverform, blue to purple; tube c. 6 mm long, c. 8 mm diam.; lobes oblanceolate, 8–9 mm long, 2.5–4 mm wide. Interstaminal corona forming a tube c. 5 mm long, c. 4 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, c. 10 mm long, c. 5 mm wide, overtopping staminal column. Follicles 10–11 cm long, 0.9–1 cm wide.
