Characteristics

Blade with upper surface plane or slightly bullate, smooth or scabridulous, strigillose, on the primary vein hirtellous, lower surface mostly rugose, (sub)hirsute to hirtellous, on the smaller veins to puberulous, on the main veins the hairs more or less appressed. Pistillate flowers basally connate; perianth with short, dense equally long hairs. Fruiting perianths connate, hirtellous.
