Leaves opposite, petiolate; blade elliptic to oblong, 5–17 cm long, 1.8–7.2 cm wide, apex acuminate with acumen 10–22 mm long, acute or cuneate at the base; petiole 4–11(–14) mm long.. Inflorescence axillary, sometimes terminal at the same time, 1.5–2.5 cm long, 10(–15)-flowered.. Flowers very fragrant; sepals ovate, up to 2.8 mm long; corolla pure white; tube (9.2–)10–15 mm long; lobes narrowly oblong to broadly ovate, 5–10.5 mm long, 1.5–5.5 mm wide; stamens inserted at 7.5–12 mm from the base; pistil 7.5–12.5 mm long; style 5.5–11 mm long; pistil-head oblong or ellipsoid; ovules 2 in each carpel.. Fruits of 2 separate mericarps, these obovoid or ellipsoid, 11–18 mm long, 7–12 mm wide, rounded at the apex.. Seeds ellipsoid, oblong or subglobose, 9–11 mm long, 3–7 mm in diameter.
