Characteristics

Slender hemi-epiphytic rainforest and gallery forest climber on tree boles and rocks. Leaves: petiole shorter than blade, sheathing for most of length, apically geniculate with sheath not quite reaching geniculum; wings of sheath membranous, persistent, eventually becoming fibrous; blade elliptic, slightly to distinctly falcate, c. 12 × 5 cm, acute to obtuse and minutely auriculate at base, dull mid green. Inflorescence solitary or paired, terminal on leafy ultimate branchlets; spathe reflexed, broadly ovate, c. 2 cm long, mucronate for c. 3 mm, green; spadix sessile, with base of spathe margins somewhat decurrent on peduncle, oblong-ovoid, to c. 2 cm long, ivory-white.
