Characteristics

A shrub. It grows 1-2 m tall. Young shoots have dense yellow hairs. The leaves are oblong and 5-7 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. They are wedge shaped at the base and taper to the tip. They have scales underneath. The flowers are funnel shaped and pale purple, pale red or white. The style is longer than the corolla.
