Characteristics

Small shrubs, up to 1 m tall; branchlets virgate, spreading, densely pubescent. Petiole 3–4 mm, scaly; leaf blade aromatic, elliptic to oblong, 1–1.2 cm; apex acute; base cuneate; abaxial surface scales dense, pale brown; adaxial surface green, shiny, glabrous. Inflorescence 5-or 6-flowered. Pedicel ca. 0.1 cm, scaly; calyx lobes 1–2 mm, unequal, margin ciliate; corolla funnelform, white or pale rose; tube ca. 8 mm, outer surface and throat densely pilose; lobes orbicular or oblong, 0.3–0.4 cm; stamens 5, included in corolla tube, filaments glabrous; ovary oblong, 1–1.3 mm, densely scaly; style 1.5–2 mm. Fl. Jun–Jul.
