Cultivation

Thorny, semi-erect, floricane-fruiting, with high vigor and yield. Origin: Driscoll’s, Watsonville, CA, by G.R. Sills, M.F. Crusha, M.B. Romero Escobedo, A.M. Pabon, and J. Rodriguez Alcazar. BJ106.3 × Bulk A (both proprietary selections); discovered 2009 in Ventura County, CA. Tree: thorny; vigorous; growth habit semi-erect; yield high; moderately susceptible to fusarium wilt and redberry mite; resistant to heat and waterlogging; moderately resistant to drought; adapted to Central Mexico. Fruit: midsize, length 30.9 mm, diameter 27.7 mm; ovate; 11.7 ºBrix; 1.37% titratable acidity expressed as citric acid; ripens December to January in Central Mexico.
