Thorny, semi-upright to spreading, self-fruitful, high-vigor plant with large, dark greyish-purple fruit. Origin: Driscoll’s, Watsonville, CA, by G.R. Sills, J. Rodriguez Alcazar, A.M. Pabon, M.F. Crusha, R. Escobedo, and M. Bonifacio. DrisBlackFive × BL481.2; selected 2009. USPP 28,548; 24 Oct. 2017. Tree: thorny; vigor high; growth habit semi-upright to spreading; moderately susceptible to powdery mildew, susceptible to fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum); moderately resistant to drought, high temperatures, and waterlogging. Fruit: large, 11.6 g; long conical; soluble solids 12.1 °Brix; titratable acidity 0.96% citric acid; firm; dark greyish-purple; ripens April to May on floricanes; harvest early January to late May.
