Leaves ± sessile, broadly ovate, 7–9 mm long, 7–8 mm wide, apically obtuse or truncate, amplexicaul.. Inflorescences few-flowered; pedicels 6–11 mm, pedicel of the terminal flower always shorter than pedicel of lateral flowers; bracteoles ovate, 5–6 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, obtuse.. Flowers 4-merous.. Calyx lobes: 2 broader and longer than others, lanceolate-spatulate, 3.5–6 mm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, obtuse.. Corolla white; tube very short, 1.3–1.5 mm long; lobes elliptic, 6 mm long, 2 mm wide, acute or subacute; nectaries 2 per lobe, yellow, ovate or circular, 0.5–0.6(–1) mm diameter, 0.5–0.7 mm apart, 1.6 mm from base of lobes, margins fimbriate, fimbriae 0.4–0.7 mm long.. Stamens with filaments 2.7–2.9 mm long, scale-like projections present at their attachment point; anthers oblong or elliptic, 0.9–1 mm long, slightly asymmetrical.. Ovary 3–4 mm long, 1–2 mm diameter, ovate or elliptic; style obsolete; stigma bilobed, lobes 0.4–0.5 mm long, 1.7–19 mm wide, obtuse, forming a crescent-shaped rim at apex of each capsule valve; parietal placentae indistinct.. Capsule ovoid or ellipsoid, 5–6 mm long, 2–3 mm diameter.. Seeds brown, 0.4–0.5 mm in diameter, surface slightly reticulate.
