Cushion-forming perennial herb with basal leaf rosette, with creeping stems rooting at the nodes.. Stems up to 10–15 mm long above the ground, much branched, producing leafy shoots from the base.. Basal rosette leaves with ± winged petiole ± 11 mm long; blade lanceolate-spatulate to broadly elliptic or ovate, 5–10 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, obtuse; cauline leaves sessile, lanceolate-spatulate to broadly ovate, 4–8 mm long, (1.5)2–4 mm wide, obtuse.. Inflorescences few-flowered, usually 3-flowered cymes; pedicels 3–4 mm long, pedicel of the terminal flower always shorter than pedicels of lateral flowers; bracteoles lanceolate, obtuse.. Flowers 4-merous.. Calyx divided to the base; lobes oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 3.4–3.6 mm long, 0.2 mm wide, obtuse.. Corolla tube very short, ± 1 mm long; lobes obovate, 4.7–6 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, truncate to broadly obtuse; nectary 1 per lobe, circular or ovoid, ± 1.5 mm diameter, ± 0.5 mm from base of corolla lobes, indistinct, margin naked.. Stamens with filaments ± 1.8 mm long, scale-like projections absent at their attachment point to the corolla lobes; anther oblong, ± 0.5 mm long.. Ovary ovoid, 3–3.2 mm long, 2–2.1 mm diameter; style ± 0.6 mm long; stigma bilobed, sub-rotund, obtuse; parietal placentae indistinct.. Capsule ovoid, 4–4.5 mm long, 3 mm diameter.. Seeds brown, ellipsoid, 1.6–1.7 mm in diameter or length, surface with broken striations or interrupted ridge-like outgrowths.
