Characteristics

Traps dimorphic, shortly stalked, ovoid, those on the stolons c. 1.5 mm. long, those on the stolon branches c. 0.5 mm. long; mouth terminal, fringed with radiating rows of glandular hairs, the larger traps with a long carinate dorsal beak which is reduced, in the smaller traps, to a short deltoid tooth.

Inflorescence erect, up to 30 cm. high; peduncle filiform, glabrous; flowers 2–5, congested; scales few, similar to the bracts; bracts medifixed, lanceolate, up to 6 mm. long; bracteoles basifixed, oblong, 2–3 mm. long; pedicels filiform, erect, 1–3 mm. long.
Corolla yellow, 10–13 mm. long; superior lip oblong with apex truncate or emarginate, about twice as long as the superior calyx lobe; inferior lip circular; palate slightly raised; spur conical, slightly longer than the inferior lip.
Calyx lobes subequal c. 5 mm. long; superior lobe circular with apex rounded; inferior lobe broadly obovate with apex emarginate.
Seeds numerous, ovoid, c. 0.35 mm. long, verrucose; testa cells distinct, elongate with sinuate margins.
Ovary ovoid, style indistinct, inferior lip of stigma circular, the superior much smaller, deltoid.
Leaves numerous, scattered on the stolons, linear-spathulate, up to 20 × 1 mm., 1-nerved.
Capsule globose, c. 3 mm. long, dehiscing by a single longitudinal ventral slit.
Rhizoids and stolons numerous from the base of the peduncle.
Filaments linear; anther thecae subdistinct.
