Cultivation

Early-midseason ripening, small fruited, blue honeysuckle adapted to the Russian Far East. Origin: N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry, Far East Experiment Station, Vladivostok, Russia, by N.M. Bochkarnikova. Selection of L. caerulea var. kamtschatica; introd. in 1975. Tree: medium yield, 3 kg/plant. Fruit: early season ripening; medium fruit, 0.9 g; ascorbic acid content 76.5 mg/100 g, 5.9% SS; slightly bitter taste.
